THE RACE TO WITCH MOUNTIN

"You know how to fly this thing don't you"
"How do you think we got here"
Well, you crashed remember"

The fabulous and hugely entertaining family film Race to Witch Mountain is just released on DVD by Walt Disney Home Entertainment, we have a great peek at a behind the scenes clip for you (click on the picture on your right) in which director Andy Fickman talks about the deliberate homages to the original 1970's Disney version of the movie that he has included in the new take. Stay tuned to the end to to see the cameos by the two stars of the original movie, Kim Richards and Ike Eisenmann!

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (who displays a real suredness of touch and is really good) plays Las Vegas cab driver Jack Bruno who gets more than he bargained for when he finds himself with two young passengers who just happen to be a pair of on the run aliens whose ship has crash landed. With the Government as well as a pretty gruesome tracker from their own planet on their tail, Jack is stuck with helping the teenagers, Sara and Seth, do their best to avoid capture and get back home to their own planet.

It's a thrilling exciting movie that appeals across the board and certainly adults will find much to compare with chase epics like The Bourne Identity with some of the action packed set pieces. RTWM also doesn't fall foul of the trap that many family movies do and stays well away from silly slapstick comedy moments.

Released on 26 August and rated PG, Disney are also releasing the movie in a Blu-Ray/DVD combo package.
