THE PROPOSAL - EXCLUSIVE DVD CLIPS
The Proposal is the hugely funny rom-com starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. Released this month on DVD and Blu-Ray by Walt Disney Home Entertainment we have a couple of exclusive clips for you (simply click on the pictures on your right) featuring an alternate ending and a chat with director Anne Fletcher.
Definitely a strong feel good flick The Proposal sees Ryan Reynolds playing Andrew Paxton assistant to Margaret Tate (Bullock). Tate is one of the most powerful book editors in New York and has built up a reputation for being none too likeable. Her problems begin when she stands to be deported back to her native Canada after problems with her visa. She is quick to come up with a plan though, announcing to her bosses that she is in fact engaged to be married to Andrew (who is, shall we say, more than a little shocked). Andrew decides to agree to the wedding if Margaret agrees to promote him to the job of editor. A weekend trip to Andrew's family home in Alaska (to celebrate the 90th birthday of his grandmother (played by the brilliant Betty White) is supposed to help them get to know each other's history but with sparks flying and some unexpected revelations it looks like true love might just be on the cards.
Funny, entertaining and with a good heart The Proposal is well worth spending some time with. Extras include a behind the scenes featurette, deleted scenes, a gag reel and an alternate ending.
The Proposal is released November 25, 2009 by Walt Disney Home Entertainment.
