With these six movie the action moves from the 1940's and through to the 1960's. With A Wedding on Walton's Mountain it is still the 1940's and Erin is preparing for her big day but is having second thoughts. Mother's Day on Walton's Mountain and A Day for Thanks on Walton's Mountain are still in the late forties (incidentally Robert Wightman steps in as John Boy for this installment); The final three movies A Walton Thanksgiving Reunion, A Walton Wedding and A Walton Easter take us into the changing times of the 1960's with not only John Boy getting married but John and Olivia celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary and the whole country coming to terms with the death of John F Kennedy.
