Blind
Faith was a short-lived supergroup
composed of ex-Cream members Eric
Clapton (guitar/vocals)and Ginger
Baker (drums), ex-Traffic
keyboardist/vocalist Steve Winwood,
and ex-Family bassist/violinist
Rick Grech. After launching their
career with a massive free concert
in London's Hyde Park in June
1969, Blind Faith released their
eponymous debut in July, then
began a six-week U.S. tour.
Unfortunately, after completing
the sold-out tour in August the
band split apart due to artistic
differences. Clapton and Winwood
went on to successful solo
careers, while Baker performed
solo for a time before retiring to
play polo during the 1980s. Grech
was a session musician during the
1970s; he passed away in 1990.
