In Kelsey Grammer vehicle Boss the actor plays Tom Kane, the mayor of Chicago who does things his way and likes to keep his secrets close to his chest. Other key characters include Mayor Kane’s aide Kitty O’Neill; Alex Zajac as an ambitious politico and Kane’s wife Meredith who also holds a position of strength in the town as a key Chicago power broker.

A great Machiavellian meets Shakespeare mix and adding to the interest is the fact that acclaimed director Gus Van Sant was on board as executive producer and also directed the pilot.
