Doctor At The Top (BBC-1 1991, Robin Nedwell, George Layton)
Sitcom Doctor at the Top offered a surprising and surprisingly welcome return to the world of St Swithins. It had been 14 years since a last British version of the Doctor series and Doctors Waring, Stuart-Clark and Collier are now a whole lot older but not necessarily wiser, despite having moved ip in the world. This time the series was on BBC One rather than ITV.
Duncan Waring was now a paediatrician, still at St Swithins and father to five daughters, Paul Collier is a consultant at St Swithins but also has his own Harley Street practice and Dick Stuart-Clark was professor of Surgery.
There was much less girl chasing this time out naturally, this was a different time after all. George Layton and Bill Oddie shared script writing duties.
