Girls! Girls! Girls! (Paramount 1962, Elvis, Stella Stevens)

Girls Girls Girls Elvis

Better than the title would suggest and also featuring a genuine hit in the shape of “Return to Sender.” Elvis moonlights singing in a club in order to get his dad out of hock. A rich girl slumming by the shore may prove to be his answer. Hits include “I Don’t Want To,” “Because of Love,” and “Song of the Shrimp.”

Edith Head, who designed the costumes for “Girls! Girls! Girls!”, was nominated for 35 Academy Awards and won eight over her five-decade career. She dressed Clara Bow, Jean Harlow, Mae West and Audrey Hepburn among others.
