The Main Chance: Choice of Jungles (ITV 9 Aug 1972)

Choice Of Jungles is a busy episode for the Leeds practice as David and Margaret have to deal with a female teacher who has hit one of her pupils and they are also involved in a case with an architect trying to prevent a slum landlord proceed with what he believes is an ill thought development.

Meanwhile Henry is nervous about facing his stint as a judge and breaks the news that he wants to retire from the practice. David persuades him to take a step back for a month instead.

Something of a key episode in the season as David and Hilary tie the knot (off-screen), not that they get the chance to have any kind of honeymoon with David’s heavy workload – until Henry intervenes that is.

Another strong appearance from Stuart Wilson as Edward Ransome, the solicitor who was working for the Leeds practice but is now going alone. There are some good quality guest stars too including Windsor Davies and Gerald Flood.
