They Met In Bombay

In They Met In Bombay an action-comedy with exotic locales and Clark Gable and Rosalind Russell, two jewel thieves pick up on each other’s plans and make the hit together. They flee from Bombay to Hong Kong on Peter Lorre’s boat, but he tries a double cross. Finally in China, Gable dons a disguise that leads him to a heroic new life and he makes Russell an honest woman. Ladd pops up for a second.

They Met in Bombay was the first film since The Women (produced two years earlier in 1939) that Rosalind Russell made for her contract studio MGM.
