Notes
John Martyn went solo with
this album (after two recorded
with his wife Beverly Stormbringer
and The
Road to Ruin) and he was
here starting to define his
style, mixing in jazz, folk and
rock elements to nice effect.
Martyn's vocal style was also
developing on this album with
his trademark slur coming to the
fore. Stand outs included the
title track, Head and Heart and
the six minute improv
instrumental Glistening
Glyndebourne.
