Jazz 625 

TV Show / BBC2 / 1964-66

An attempt by the BBC to use their new channel (BBC2 had started in 1964) to introduce people to different facets of Jazz.
The title referred to the fact that BBC2 was now broadcasting on 625 lines, giving a much better picture quality. The series was
introduced by Steve Race and many big names were featured.

Commonwealth Jazz Club (BBC2 / 5x30m-e / 1965 2 Sep - 30 Sep) / Jazz Goes to College (BBC2 / 1966-67 concerts in
various colleges and universities) / Jazz Scene (BBC2 / 1969-70 A weekly magazine show produced by Tewrry Henebery) / Jazz
on Four (Channel Four / 1982-83) / Jazz at the Gateway (Channel 4-STV / 1987) / Jazz 606 (BBC2 / 1998) and Jazz Heroes
