EERIE INDIANA
Umbrella Entertainment / 5 disc set / Released MArch 2008
Featuring Omri Katz, Justin Shenkarow, Mary Margaret-Humes
Marshall Teller lives in the town of Eerie, Indiana, a place well named, because it, much like Cardiff is to the Torchwood crew, seems to be the very epicentre for everything weird or just plain bizarre in the whole world.
Marshall and his best friend Simon, over the course of 19 episodes (all included on this 5 disc set), are beset on all sides by strange things going on - everything from a bizarre warehouse where lost item in the world can be found, an ATM machine that gets a crush on Simon, a girl whose drawings can come to life and more run of the mill fare such as aliens, werewolves, zombies, ghosts, bigfoot and even Elvis.
Highly entertaining and with the creative hand of the legendary Joe Dante on the tiller Eerie Indiana is a great take on shows such as Kolchak, The Night Stalker, The X Files and Twin Peaks.
Watch out too for some well known cult guest stars in the likes of Ray Walston (My Favorite Martian), Matt "Max Headroom" Frewer, Michael J Pollard, John Astin (from the Addams Family) and Rene Auberjonois. Young star Omri Katz was better known at this time for playing the young John Ross Ewing in Dallas.
