AMANDA REDMAN IN HONEST

ITV1's major new six part comedy drama for January (it starts on the 9 January 2008 @ 9.00pm)is the Amanda Redman starring Honest about a woman determined to keep her wayward family on the straight and narrow.

Following Mack Carter’s (Danny Webb) surprising four-year incarceration for robbery, wife Lindsay (Amanda Redman) has decided enough is enough and the Carters are now going straight.

The eldest of her children are twin sons Taylor and Vin played by Matthew McNulty. Law student Taylor is the apple of his mum’s eye while brother Vin aspires to follow in his father’s footsteps and is usually on the wrong side of the law. Kacie (Laura Haddock) is obsessed with becoming the new Naomi Campbell but has to make do with a job-seeker’s allowance to get by. Meanwhile fifteen year-old Lianna (Eleanor Wyld) is so smart that she is blackmailing her Deputy Headmistress to bunk off school.

Further casting includes Sean Pertwee, Burt Kwouk, Matthew McNulty, Laura Haddock, Eleanor Wyld, Amit Shah, and Michael Byrne.

Honest is adapted by Jack Williams (Wild At Heart, Roman’s Empire), directed by Brian Kelly (Torchwood) and Julian Holmes (Party Animals), and co-produced by Jill Green (Foyle’s War, The Swap, Trust) and Eve Gutierrez (The Man Who Lost His Head, Menace) for Greenlit Rights.
