IT AIN'T HALF HOT MUM SEASON SIX

The touring concert party shenanigans of the World War II set It Ain't Half Hot Mum was one of the mainstays of the BBC comedy unit during the 1970's and season six of the show is released this month by BBC DVD and to celebrate we have a quintet of discs to give away.

Created by Jimmy Perry and David Croft (of Dad's Army legend) the series focused on the exploits of the Royaol Artillery Concert Party as they entertained the troops out in the sub-continent during the second world war. The shouty Regimental Sergeant Major Williams tried his best to keep the boys in line but in this sixth and final season everyone is more concerned with the fact that they might just be able to go home soon. A brilliant cast led by Windsor Davies and also including Melvyn Hayes and Don Estelle always seem to be having a great deal of fun and despite the sweltering heat of their supposed hot and steamy locations the show never left the BBC studio backlot. Great fun.
