SHOUT AT THE DEVIL

Umbrella Entertainment / 115 minutes / All Region / Released April 2008

Featuring Roger Moore, Lee Marvin, Barbara Parkins, Ian Holm, Jean Kent, Maurice Denham

Shout at the Devil, with its fantastic leading men of Moore and Marvin, is a classic slice of 1970's action, definitely the kind of movie they don't make any longer, more's the pity.

Based on an early Wilbur Smith novel and set in just pre world war one Zanzibar, SATD sees Marvin typecast as a hard drinking, out for the main chance, yank who hires the equally typecast Roger Moore, to help him carry out some highly dubious ivory smuggling, matters become complicated when Moore falls for Marvin's daughter, the very lovely Barbara Parkins.

Directed at full speed by Peter Hunt (and with a stirring soundtrack by Maurice Jarre) this is a true shot of adventure with stirring action scenes and some surprisingly impressive cinematography and massive set pieces.

The period setting means the movie hasn't dated at all and is a definite must see for anyone in the mood for a rositer doistering evening of entertainment.

Extras are the original trailer and trailers for other Umbrella releases.
