One of the real joys of going to a country show or fete is knowing that there are going to be gorgeous cakes, slices, breads and jam made by those lovely elderly ladies who really know what classic food is all about. New release, The Blue Ribbon Cookbook, take us behind the scenes of 53 country shows and to mark the occasion we have three copies for you to win.
An initiative of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia as well as the Agricultural Society Council, The Blue Ribbon Cookbook is qute literally a feast of recipes, tips and what not to dos as it takes behind the scenes of the cooking queens of the country shows.
Besides the fabulous recipes the book also features some great vintage photographs and choice memorabilia from bygone days. Lovely stuff!
The Competition runs until 1 October 2008 and to win a copy all you have to do is tell us what year the first Royal Easter Show was held in NSW, Australia.
