THE MYSTERIOUS CITIES OF GOLD

One of the cultiest of cult kids shows has to be the superb Mysterious Cities of Gold, released in an all encompassing box set this month by Umbrella we have one set for you to win.

Not many animations tackle subjects as big as MCOG, starting in 1532 the 39 episode series follows young orphaned Esteban on a quest to find his missing father who has gone in search of the fabled Mysterious Cities of Gold. Joining him in his quest is Incan girl Zia (who is also searching for her father) and Tao, who is the last descendent of the now long gone empire of Hiva. Travelling on the amazing Golden Condor the group have adventures that take them from the Incans to the forests of the Amazon through to crossing swords with The Mayans.

Not only that but the box set is packed full of special features including a collectors booklet, original storyboards and production drawings, cast and character bios, recreations with the dubbing cast and a major indepth documentary on the series.
