THE ROOKIE

With 24 having been off the air for almost a year I'm sure we are not the only ones suffering withdrawal syptoms, luckily a new set of webisodes from within the 24 universe and called The Rookie is soon to be upon us.

Created by Degree Men, The Rookie: Day 3 Extraction focuses on the exploits of American Counter Terrorism agent, Jason Blaine as he embarks on a race against time to rescue his boss who has been kidnapped by a drug cartel. There are six chapters to the story, each running three to four minutes.

It's high octane stuff that definitely stays within the 24 mindset, it's directed by Rodney Charters who has long been involved with 24. The shorts debuted on March 17 but are available 24/7 at Degree Rookie it will also be available on DirecTV from April 7 on channel 115. You can also find it on Comcast on Demand channel 886.

Watch out too for an appearance from football legend Chad Johnson playing an agent in episodes three and four.
