Filming has just got underway in Brighton on new BBC One crime drama Cuffs with the cast headed by Ashley Walters, Shaun Dooley and Amanda Abbington.
The series, which has been created by Julie Geary, is promising to give us a whole new insight into the life of today’s policeman. Geary, who is best known for her work on Prisoner’s Wives and Secret Diary of a Call Girl, intends to take the cop genre back to basics whilst bringing it up bang up to date Tiger Aspect’s Will Gould reckons (although that sounds like something of an oxymoron to us at any rate.)
The cast also includes Peter Sullivan, Paul Ready, Eleanor Matsuura, Alex Carter and newcomer Jacob Ifan. The drama is being made by Tiger Aspect for BBC One and is exec produced by Will Gould, Iona Vrolyk and Julie Geary. It will broadcast on BBC One later in 2015.
