Besides the characters, if there is something iconic on the series Breaking Bad then it is the locations. Not least the Los Pollos Hermanos chicken fast food restaurant chain which is definitely one of the most loved by fans of the show.
In the series, the franchise serves as cover for the shady Gus Fring. In real life, the location of the restaurant (which belongs to a chain of hamburger restaurants called Twisters) is located at 4257 Isleta Blvd SW, Albuquerque.
But what if Los Pollos Hermanos became a real restaurant? During a meeting at an A.M.A (Ask Me Anything) of Reddit, the creator of the series, Vince Gilligan, did not close the door to the possibility. “Believe it or not… There are talks for ‘Los Pollos Hermanos’ to become a real restaurant. It is not a personal idea. It is something that has been presented to me through Sony and the idea comes from a business man who has interest in the restaurant to become a reality. For my part, I would love it to happen.”
Gilligan also spoke about the possibility that, as with Better Call Saul, there could be a spinoff series focusing on the life of Gus Fring, Gilligan said that “it would be a good idea. Gus could star in their own story”. It too would have to be a pre-quel of course as Fring well and truly died in Breaking Bad.
