Game of Thrones Kit Harrington Heads to Pompeii For New Film Role

Rising star Kit Harrington has film roles coming out of his ears at the moment, the Game of Thrones star has apparently signed on to play the lead in Paul W.S. Anderson’s movie about the destruction of Pompeii in 79 AD.
Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes is on board to revise a script by Lee Batchler and Janet Scott Batchler, the storyline, in best Downton style it would seem (or possible Frankie Howerd at his best), mingles the stories of the servants and the wealthy Roman citizens.
Pompeii remains a popular source for movie makers, everyone from the aforementioned Frankie Howerd to Doctor Who.
