Natalie Dormer Game of Thrones Season Two

With season two of Game of Thrones already in pre-production in Ireland first casting noises for the next batch of ten episodes are already making an impact. Two key roles have just been announced with Natalie Dormer (who played Anne Boleyn in The Tudors) taking on the role of Margaery Tyrell who is the sister of Ser Loras Tyrell and who has a pivotal role in the George R.R. Martin book series the show is based upon. Also cast is the 6″3′ Gwendoline Christie who will be playing Breanne, the maid of Tarth who becomes a knight and fearsome member of Renly Baratheon’s Rainbow Guard.

One cast member who won’t be returning though is Sean Bean whose character was killed off in the penultimate episode of the first season. Season two will air on HBO in 2012.
