GLEE SPIN-OFF FUTURE UNCERTAIN SAYS RYAN MURPHY
July 29, 2011 | US TV News

Ryan Murphy has shelved plans for the Glee spin off he was actively working because he was unhappy about the way his three main young cast members handled the news about their departure from the parent show at the end of season three.
The plan was for Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith and Lea Michele’s characters to graduate and move on to Julliard in New York and preparations on the series were at quite an advanced stage – at least three or four months in, Murphy was riled though by the announcement by Colfer that he only learnt about the “sacking” from the main show via Twitter.
At this point in time then, Murphy has taken his ball and gone home with it but that’s not to say the spin off won’t happen although it certainly won’t be any time soon but given that much of the cast have seven year contracts they will still be around in some form or another.
