HBO used the Pasadena leg of TV critics press tour to announce that the hugely anticipated return of Game of Thrones will be at the of April.
Season six will premiere on the 24 April, a couple of weeks later than normal for the series with previous season debuting either late March of the beginning of April.
Speculation on Season Six’s direction has been rife, naturally, but nobody knows too much at this point in time (although guest star Ian McShane, who is in for one episode, did let slip the cryptic teaser “I am responsible for bringing somebody back that you think you’re never going to see again. I’ll leave it at that.”
We also know that Bran Stark as played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright will be back after missed the whole of season five. Max von Sydow will also be playing the Three-Eyed Raven. What fans really want to know though is whether Kit Harington’s Jon Snow will be in the season – either alive or undead!
