ITV: Bear Grylls’ celeb reality series Mission Survive gets second season

Bear Grylls’ ITV series Mission Survive (kind of a cross between his channel 4 show The Island and I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Here) will get a second series.

The first season notched up a consolidated average audience of 4 million and saw DJ and Model Vogue Williams take out the first season title. The series, which was filmed in Costa Rica, featured a group of celebs spending 12 days in the wild having to learn the art of survival and trying to avoid getting eliminated.

Bear commented “I’m so proud of Mission Survive and all it stands for: endeavour, comradeship and overcoming fears. For me it is about understanding that sometimes we have to go through genuine adversity to come out the other side better, stronger and more empowered. It is such a privilege to get to do it once more with our BGV, Electus, betty team and here begins the journey to find the next ultimate survivor!”

The series is a Bear Grylls Ventures, Electus and betty production.
