ITV: Midsomer Murders Gets 18th Season

ITV’s ever popular crime drama Midsomer Murders has been commissioned for an incredible 18th season. The network want another six episodes of the series for broadcast in 2016.

Filming is already ongoing and series stars Neil Dudgeon (DCI John Barnaby) and Gwilym Lee (DS Charlie Nelson) will be joined by new pathologist Dr Kam Karimore who will be played by Manjinder Virk.

Midsomer Murders is made by Bentley Productions. The writing team for season 18 includes Rachel Cuperman and Sally Griffiths, Chris Murray and Paul Logue.

Midsomer Murders is produced by Phil Hunter (Doctors, Holby City) and executive produced by Jo Wright, managing director of Bentley Productions.

Members of the writing team include . Alex Pillai, Renny Rye and Nick Laughland will be among the directors.
