Ratings: Margie’s Triumph Scores High For The Biggest Loser
It’s always the episode we all look forward to most every season on The Biggest Loser and once again this year pulled in the big numbers for the show and Channel 10. According to Sky the combined episode drew in over 1.3 million viewers, what is surprising is though is how poorly MasterChef is doing in it’s first week back on air.
The Biggest Loser Singles winner announcement attracted 1.365 million viewers while its finale night rated 1.348 million.
But Ten’s other major reality show, MasterChef, failed to crack the top 10.
The third episode in the series, which only launched last Sunday, was 11th with 1.078 million viewers.
The cook-off was easily beaten by Seven News (1.302 million) and Nine News (1.208 million) which were third and fourth respectively.
The Block, which has been riding high on the success of The Voice, had to settle for fifth (1.2 million).
Meanwhile winner of The Biggest Loser Singles has told Perth Now she relished playing the game whilst she was in the house and was surprised at how some of the editing made her look.
“I was definitely playing the game. You have no friends in that house. You have to put in the hard yards if you want to survive.”
Yesterday the openly lesbian Cummins said she was the one who had been bullied by “homophobic” Hamish Elliott and Simon Hurley and she was disappointed by how the show had edited her to look conniving.
“My friends and family know who I am and that’s all that matters,” she said.Cummins, 35, said she would spend the cash on a holiday with mates and on her mortgage, was dating again and was looking for a new career.
