Safe House finale on ITV Monday 11 May at 9.00pm

Christopher Eccleston, Marsha Thomason and Paterson Joseph star in this brand new four-part thriller, set in the beautiful wilderness of the Lake District. The final episode airs Monday 11 May on ITV at 9.00pm.

Former detective Robert (Eccleston) and his wife Katy (Thomason) are asked by close friend and ex-colleague DCI Mark Maxwell (Joseph) to turn their remote guest house into a safe house. David Blackwell (Jason Merrells) and his family have been pretending to be ordinary holidaymakers while the police track down his assailant.

His wife Ali (Nicola Stephenson) and children Louisa (Harriet Cains) and Joe (Max True) have also had to settle into their new life. While the police believe they are closing in on the man hunting the family, Robert takes a closer look at Ali and her sister’s relationship. Katy still has her doubts about Robert’s methods and questions him further. Robert confronts Mark about a past decision. Meanwhile, Joe is worried that he may have made a mistake that could endanger the family.

In the final episode, the investigation into Michael Collersdale (Peter Ferdinando) takes an unexpected turn and Robert has worrying news for David and Ali. Meanwhile, Sam Blackwell (James Burrows) and his younger brother Joe decide to head off across the lake and are caught up in a terrifying ordeal. Robert and Mark work to resolve the situation, but when events dramatically spiral, the consequences are serious for both the family and Robert as he finds himself in direct opposition to Mark.
