SUSAN LUCCI TAKES SECOND ROLE ON ALL MY CHILDREN

If you’ve been watching All My Children over the last few days you might have noticed something odd going on, Susan Lucci, who has played Erica Kane since the soap debuted way back in 1970 is now playing a second role on the show – that of evil Erica lookalike Jane Campbell who arrives on the scene to create chaos for Erica.

Over the years Kane has all manner of plots thrown at her not least a memorable fight with a grizzly bear and breaking out of prison but getting your own doppelganger is definitely a soap must for any actor worth their salt.

ABC have famously decided to wind up All My Children at some stage over the next year, it was created in 1970 by Agnes Nixon and celebrated it’s forty first birthday this January and it shows that there is no shortage of ideas for AMC when it comes to classic soap plotlines.

All My Children can be seen weekdays @ 1.00pm on the ABC Network.
