Channel 7 will be airing the new MTV series Teen Wolf from Monday 4 July 2011 @ 9.30pm, it’s a teen drama revamp of the Michael J. Fox comedy from the 1980′s about a young teenager who is bitten by a werewolf and becomes one himself. It stars Tyler Posey and Crystal Reed and taps nicely into our current obsession for all things supernatual and Twilighty.
The original Teen Wolf had it’s tongue firmly in it’s cheek but this new take ups the drama/romance ante considerably. So far four of the twelve episodes of the first series have aired in the states and reaction has been generally favourably. Will be interesting to see how long it lasts in the timeslot 7 have given it.
