It had to happen sooner or later but boy Jersey Shore has a lot to answer for, not content with allowing Geordie Shore to be visited upon but now comes The Shire a “dramailty” which takes us into the heart of a group of young people (Mitch, Gabby, Sophie, Vernesa, Beckaa, Kerry and Megan) living in the Sutherland Shire in New South Wales.

The big thing about The Shire though is that this reality show is shot with the same filmic sheen as any high profile drama, so it does look fabulous as do all the cast of course but by the same token it is not a “reality” series. It will definitely be interesting to see if it finds an audience surely anyone over the age of twenty is not going to be interested but young girls will surely lap it up.

You know what though when does a reality become a drama and surely if a reality show isn’t interesting enough with inventing scenarios and situations then surely it shouldn’t be billed as a reality show at all.

A strange hybrid but a highly glossy one!
