The Voice Australia: Rachel Leahcar – Peoples Choice?
It’s starting to look like 18 year Adelaide singer Rachel Leahcar is fast becoming peoples favourite on Channel 9′s The Voice – last night saw her perform an emotional version of Jewel’s Hands and scored a standing ovation.
Judge Joel Madden, who described her performance as “the perfect way to end the first live show”, told Leahcar her delivery was “unforgettable”.
Her coach, Goodrem, described the rendition of Jewel’s ballad as “exquisite” and “divine”.
“That was so powerful, I’m just so proud,” Goodrem said.
“You look like a complete angel out there it’s like watching an angel fly.”
She won’t learn her fate until next Monday’s edition of the program, when she and her team of Delta hopefuls – Glenn Cunningham, Viktoria Bolonina, Danni Da Ros, Matt Hetherington and Ben Bennett – will be told which two will be sent packing.
