ABC have decided to pull their time travel drama Time After Time after five episodes. None of which have performed particularly strongly. Based on the 1979 film and novel of the same name the series saw Victorian author H.G. Wells creating a time machine and then having his friend John Stevenson (who just happens to be Jack The Ripper) make use of it to head into the future of 2017 with Wells in hot pursuit.
Freddie Stroma and John Stevenson starred in the Kevin Williamson created series. Episodes of Match Game will air from Sunday 2 April in Time After Time’s 9.00pm slot.
