Treme Season 2 Showcase

From The Wires David Simon and Eric Overmyer the excellent Treme gets a season two premiere on Australian TV on Showcase on Sunday 31 July 2011 @ 7.30pm. The highly regarded series takes place in New Orleans follows a town trying to recover from the effects of Hurricane Katrina especially the musicians, restaurant owners and leaders of community.

Treme has been garnering great press for the second season which wrapped up in the US a few weeks ago and attracted high calibre guest stars both in front of camera and behind it. The season opener and finale are written by Anthony Bourdain of all people and the second episode is helmed by Tim Robbins. Meanwhile guest star musicians popping up include Steve Earle, John Hiatt and Shawn Colvin.

Treme Season begins on Showcase 31 July @ 7.30pm
