Villains: Grass (ITV 7 Oct 1972, Bryan Marshall, David Daker)
The fallout from the Bog Robbers escape is the focus of Grass. Arnold Hepton was the chief organiser of the breakout from the prison van but he is now on the run himself after someone “grasses” him up.
He teams up with George but they both need a safe haven but things go wrong when they seek refuge with an old “colleague” – he just happens to be throwing a party and in a disagreement over a woman George is stabbed by one of the men there. His wound quickly becomes infected but going to the hospital is out of the question.
This episode effectively works as a follow up to the opening episode George with George’s girlfriend Franca getting the interrogation treatment from the police and George himself, along with Arnold, the main focus of the story.
