Black Sails XXXII (Starz 19 Feb 2017, with Clyde Berning)

In Black Sails XXXII Silver and Flint have taken back control of Nassau. They have established a joint leadership but have yet to deal with the issue of Billy Bones who is leading his own renegade army. When Billy arrives for discussions on the “transition” he reveals that he has Max under lock and key. Bones will only discuss the issue with Silver.

Eleanor has organised a retreat for the key people of the town back to the Fort but is concerned when Max is not amongst their number. She is quick to offer an exchange of twenty captured men in exchange for her.

Rogers is on his way back to Nassau having killed Blackbeard and taken the rest of the crew (including Anne and Rackham) prisoner. He is surprised to see a small ship heading out of Nassau and after intercepting it is none too pleased to learn it has fallen to the pirates.

Rogers orders one of his Lieutenants to take the 42 pirate prisoners to Port Royale in the sloop whilst he heads back to Nassau in the Revenge. The Lieutenant is not impressed and has no intention of taking all of the pirates with him. He is playing a gruesome game – his toughest man is taking the pirates on one of one, his man does the have the help of a heavy sledgehammer to make the battle easier. Anne Bonny persuades Jack to let her be chosen. She genuinely believes she has the element of surprise on her side, and a broken shard of glass proves she does. She is also able to get the keys to release the pirates. She does take a heavy beating in the process though.

Heading back to the Underhill plantation to try and talk to the slaves there. Former housekeeper Ruth tells her that a slave called Julius has led a revolt at the Edwards plantation and is starting his own slave army.

With Rogers about to head into the harbour with his new warship the Revenge, Eleanor calls for a secret meeting with Flint and Silver, she tells them she wants top avoid any more fighting she will give them the fort and everything inside it if they give her the cache of pearl and safe passage off Nassau for her and her people.
