Britain’s Best Walks with Julia Bradbury Premieres Friday 6 Jan on ITV

Britain's Best Walks Julia Bradbury

Julia Bradbury presents this series, which begins on Friday 6 Jan, 20117 at 8.00pm on ITV, in which she chooses some of her favourite and most accessible family treks from across the UK, in search of the perfect walk with a view which anyone can manage. The series explores coastal, mountain, valley and river walks and includes accessible route maps, pub and picnic options and stunning aerial perspectives.

In the first episode, Julia sets off on her favourite coastal walk to one of the most famous landmarks on the Jurassic Coast – Old Harry Rocks in Dorset, at the eastern end of the World Heritage Site. There are spectacular views towards the Isle of Wight and of the offshore chalk stacks at Old Harry Rocks and good opportunities for bird and butterfly watching and a rich variety of wild flowers in spring and summer.

Taking in miles of golden sandy beaches and the dramatic history of the bay, Julia’s walk offers a fantastic example of the British coastline at its best. Other walks featured later in the series are the classic ascent of Pen-y-ghent, whose dramatic summit affords far-reaching views across the magnificent Yorkshire Dales, and a walk along the popular West Highland Way, ending at the island of Inchailloch to take in stunning views over Loch Lomond.

Britain’s Best Walks with Julia Bradbury airs on Friday 6 January 2017 at 8.00pm on ITV.
