CBeebies Bedtime Stories with Dolly Parton Wed 25 Oct on CBeebies
Country music legend Dolly Parton is the next celebrity to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story. The music legend will read Dog Loves Books, written and illustrated by Louise Yates.
Dolly tells the story of Dog, who loves books so much he opens his own bookshop. No-one shows up to the grand opening, but Dog is never short of friends when he’s surrounded by books. When he gets his first customer, will Dog be ready?
Dolly says: “It’s an honour to be reading for CBeebies Bedtime Stories as encouraging children to develop a love of books from an early age is very important to me. I hope my songs and stories inspire the CBeebies audience in the UK. Thank you for having me!”
This is the first of two Bedtime Stories Dolly has recorded for CBeebies. She joins a stellar list of celebrities to have read a CBeebies Bedtime Story including Suranne Jones, Josh Homme, Tom Hardy, US actor Chris Evans, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Guy Garvey, David Tennant, Tim Peake, Nadiya Hussain and David Hasselhoff.
CBeebies Bedtime Stories is on daily at 6:50pm.
