Brand new four-part documentary series Devon and Cornwall Cops premieres on Monday 10 April at 8.00pm on ITV. Narrated by Neil Morrissey, about the work of the Devon and Cornwall Police.
With their stunning beaches, picturesque villages, breathtaking landscapes and bustling towns, the two counties have the largest and most diverse police force in England. Their patch extends 180 miles from the border with Somerset and Dorset in the east to the Isles of Scilly in the west.
In fact, the police headquarters in Exeter is actually closer to London than it is to the most westerly part of Cornwall. Policing an area of this size offers many challenges and enforcing the law over the Great British summer break promises to be anything but a holiday.
In the first episode, A Very Scilly Royal Visit, the cameras accompany the officers on patrol as they sort out some traffic madness on the holiday roads. On the Scillies, some of their colleagues are doing their best to keep the sleepy isles crime free as they prepare for one of the highest profile royal visits in the history of the islands.
Devon and Cornwall Cops episode 1 (of 4) airs on Monday 10 April 2017 at 8.00pm on ITV.
