The Frankenstein Chronicles Season 2 Episode 2 (ITVEncore 8 Nov 2017, with Ryan Sampson)
The second series of the thrilling drama The Frankenstein Chronicles set in the 1830s and starring Sean Bean continues with the second episode airing on Wednesday 8 Nov at 10.00pm on ITVEncore.
No longer a policeman and now a fugitive, Marlott (Bean) takes cover in Pye Street slum. Using the alias of Jack Martins, he finds a job removing the plagueridden dead.
Working with him is the roguish Spence (Francis Magee), a man who chooses to forget his past with drink. It soon transpires that there has been a second clergy murder. Journalist Boz (Ryan Sampson) from the Evening Chronicle is quickly on the scene and, in an effort to get an inside scoop, meets the coroner who gives him the autopsy reports.
The newspapers are reporting that the bodies have been torn limb from limb, but Marlott knows otherwise. Marlott is certain that Lord Hervey (Ed Stoppard) is behind the murders and attempts to track him down. The only person left for Marlott to turn to is Joseph Nightingale (Richie Campbell), but he still blames Marlott for Flora’s death and will not have anything to do with him. To prove that his suspicions are correct, Marlott and Spence head to the church vault under cover of darkness. In the dark burial chamber, they make a grisly discovery.
The Frankenstein Chronicles Season 2 Episode 2 airs on Wednesday 8 November 2017 from 10.00pm-11.00pm on ITVEncore.
