In episode three of Gino’s Italian Coastal Escape, airing on Wednesday 15 Nov at 8.00pm, Gino heads to Tuscany. Away from the vineyards and cypress trees, Gino uncovers the hidden side of Tuscany with its beaches and traditional cowboys.
Always willing to take on a challenge, Gino saddles up and joins the cowboys to learn their centuries old traditions, before hosting a BBQ on the beach.
Gino then travels through Lazio on an ancient Roman highway, and makes a pit stop at Gaeta – the home of Italy’s favourite olive. In Gaeta, Gino learns how to make the town’s signature street food, before cooking up a feast on the shores of the picturesque town.
In this series Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo travels back to his home country to explore the fantastic ingredients on offer along Italy’s beautiful coastline. During his 630-mile journey, Gino visits the regions of Tuscany, Lazio, Calabria, the Amalfi Coast and Gino’s home town of Naples.
He also visits the island of Elba and the Aeolians. Making use of some amazing local produce – and a little local knowledge – Gino creates plenty of delicious dishes, showcasing the best of the stunning Italian coast.
