Hazell: Hazell Goes To The Dogs (ITV 27 Feb 1978, with Dave King)
In Hazell Goes to the Dogs Hazell has been hired by the wife of bookmaker Wally Wiggins because she thinks he is having an affair. The case takes an interesting turn when Hazell sees Wiggins’ car get stolen (complete with the takings from his day at the dog track) and then discovers that Wally’s wife has left him. Dave King is Wally Wiggins
As Hazell investigates he learns Wally is having an affair with young Greek neighbour Melina. Hazell then becomes convinced that Wally is up to no good, in fact he becomes convinced that Wiggins’ has murdered his wife. Choc Minty thinks it’s all just speculation without any real facts to back up the idea. For once it turns out Hazell is way off the mark.
Another strong guest appearance from 60’s comic turned serious actor Dave King, a young Marina Sirtis also appears as Wally’s potential mistress. Kenneth Colley also has a bit part as the porter in the apartment complex where Wiggins and Melina both live. Marina Sirtis is the woman Hazell thinks Wiggins is having an affair with.
