In the second episode of Hidden Restaurants, airing on Wednesday 15 March at 8.00pm on Channel 4, Chef Michel Roux Jr takes to the road in search of secret eateries and food mavericks.
This time he visits the north east and discovers great food at a tiny beach shack, inside a converted shipping container, and at one of the largest treehouses in the world. And chef Freddy Bird heads off on an 11-hour trek to the very tip of Scotland to a restaurant in a tiny hamlet of just nine people.
