Brand new four-part series which examines the experiences of Britons who venture abroad, from emergency plane landings to tourists battling each other for sunbeds in the morning – these are the worst holiday horrors. Packed full of amazing clips showing what goes wrong when you try to get away from it all, Holiday Horrors: Caught on Camera might make you never want to take a break again.

On average, the British have three holidays a year, and more and more they are filming every moment – especially on smartphones. Whether staying in the UK or going abroad, all the fun, excitement and drama is being caught on camera. Over four programmes, Holiday Horrors shows what happens when people’s holiday videos capture the unexpected.

Aeroplane angst, hellish hotels and washout weather, caught on camera to reveal that while holidays can be memorable, they do not always go quite according to plan. In the first episode of the new series, stories include a skiing holiday that became a fight for survival, the world’s worst case of sunburn and what happened when wildfire spread across the holiday hotspot of Javea on the Costa Blanca.

In addition, find out how holidaymakers coped with eating local delicacies, encounters with wild animals and fears of flying.

In documentary White Right: Meeting The Enemy made for ITV’s Exposure current affairs strand and airing on Monday 11 December at 10.40pm on ITV, Emmy Award-winning film-maker Deeyah Khan meets US neo-Nazis and white nationalists face to face and attends America’s biggest and most violent far right rally in recent years.

Khan, who has received death threats in the past after advocating diversity and multiculturalism, tries to get behind the violent ideology, to seek to understand the personal and political reasons behind the apparent resurgence of far right extremism in the US.

Airing over four consecutive nights Bancroft is a new thriller for ITV starring Sarah Parish as Det. Superintendent Elizabeth Bancroft. The series premieres on Monday 11 December at 9.00pm on ITV.

The formidable Det. Superintendent Elizabeth Bancroft is leading the charge against the violent Kamara gang. Meanwhile, DS Katherine Stevens is given a cold murder case. In 1990, Laura Fraser was stabbed 18 times in frenzied attack at home. As Elizabeth and Katherine’s paths cross for the first time, Katherine finds that there’s more to the Fraser case than it seems – and Elizabeth has some secrets in her past which may prove difficult to hide.

Linus Roache (Vikings, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) makes his return to British television. Linus plays Tim Fraser who is haunted by an unsolved crime. He has also been running from his past but his hidden shame can’t stay buried forever. Produced by Phil Collinson (Midwinter of the Spirit, Coronation Street, Dr Who) and directed by John Hayes (Vera, Home Fires), Bancroft explores what happens when heinous crimes, long buried, come back to haunt us.

Filmed on location in and around Bolton and the North West, this new series also features Amara Karan (The Night Of, Stan Lee’s Lucky Man), Adrian Edmondson (War and Peace, Prey), Art Malik (Cold Feet, Indian Summers, Homeland), Kenneth Cranham (War and Peace, Rome), Adam Long (Happy Valley, Home Fires), Lee Boardman (The Five, Da Vinci’s Demons) and Steve Evets (One of Us, Looking for Eric).
