Award-winning actress and comedienne Dawn French shines a spotlight on some of the world’s most talented children in brand new six-part series Little Big Shots.
Based on the hit US format, the show, which premieres on Wednesday 1 March at 8.00pm on ITV, looks to showcase the astounding flair and infectious passion these kids have for performing. There are no prizes to be won, no winners and losers, no competition at all to speak of.
Instead, there is only a celebration of talent in all its forms, proving you do not have to be a grown-up to be a star performer. In the first
episode, a nine-year-old Shaolin Kung Fu warrior from Walthamstow scares the life out of Dawn with his arsenal of martial arts weapons, including swords, nunchucks and a kung fu staff.
A sensationally gifted eight-year-old piano maestro tinkles the ivories – blindfolded! A sparkly, swivel-hipped pair of junior ballroom dancers get Dawn waltzing before bringing the house down with a strictly fantastic jive. Dawn cannot supress the giggles when she meets Balang, a dancing marvel from the Philippines, whose moves have been seen online by over 70 million viewers. Later she finds herself playing goalkeeper to a footie fan from Manchester, who recreates his soccer heroes’ goals.
Little Big Shots Episode 1 (of 6) airs on Wednesday 1 March 2017 at 8.00pm on ITV.
