Alan Titchmarsh and his crack team create another unique garden for a truly deserving person.
Each week the team of experts transform barren plots and small neglected grounds into stunning gardens, while informing viewers on how to recreate the look in their own gardens with minimum fuss.
In episode 7, airing on 9 Aug at 9.00pm on ITV, the team are in Hythe to create a sensory garden for Isabelle Cooper. Isabelle is four years old and suffers from an extremely rare degenerative eye disease called LCA – Leber’s Congential Amaurosis. This means that she has severely limited vision, and will one day become completely blind.
With the support of her loving family she can confidently move around her indoor environment, but outdoors poses a much greater challenge. The family garden is an uninspiring rectangle of lumpy lawn, surrounded by uneven and slippery paving. This means that the one place she can safely learn about the textures, smells and sounds of nature is unfortunately off limits.
Alan and his team get to work transforming the bland plot. They turn the garden into a safe haven for the family, which is full of challenging fun for Isabelle. They include plants and flower that smell, sound, feel and even taste great! What they create is one of the most fragrance-filled gardens the team have ever done.
Love Your Garden Episode 7 airs on Wednesday 9 August 2017 at 8.00pm on ITV.
