Prime Suspect 1973 Episode 2

Prime Suspect 1973 The prequel to the original Prime Suspect series – that rewinds to 1970s London to follow the early career of the formidable DCI Jane Tennison – continues with episode 2 airing on Thursday 9 March at 9.00pm on ITV.

In the second episode, the investigation into Julie-Ann Collins’ murder moves forward as Jane continues to delve deeper into the case. With few leads to go on, she sets her sights on the driver of the car the victim was last seen climbing into. As the hunt gets underway, Jane and DCI Bradfield (Sam Reid) find themselves growing a bit too close, especially when she walks her drunk boss home one night.

Meanwhile Clifford Bentley (Alun Armstrong) fumes over the attack on his wife Renee (Ruth Sheen) by gangland kingpin Clay Whiteley (Dorian Lough). But Cliff’s decision to launch a revenge attack proves rash when it puts his family’s criminal interests in jeopardy.

Prime Suspect 1973 Episode 2 airs on Thursday 9th March 2017 from 9.00pm-10.00pm on ITV.
