Remington Steele is a tantalizing mix of adventurous capers, wit and romance centered around two ultimate sherlocks to the rich and famous. This popular NBC detective series ran four and a half seasons, culminating in two television movies which focused on international intrigue.

The series co-stars the irresistibly handsome Pierce Brosnan (Remington Steele) and the alluring Stephanie Zimbalist (Laura Holt.) The cast is rounded out by James Read as Murphy Michaels, Janet DeMay as Bernice Foxe and Doris Roberts as Mildred Krebs.

It was a serendipitous turn of events that led Lauren Holt to choose a stranger as a business partner. A sign of the times, Laura Holt was a woman of the eighties, an intelligent, capable high-society detective who in the course of running her own business, comes to believe it’s still a man’s world. Her career strategy is to invent a fictitious boss, with an impressive name “Remington Steele,” to attract clients. Holt hangs out a new shingle and her business takes off.

Enter a savvy and debonair man of the hour, a likable rogue with a dubious past but charming heart, (Pierce Brosnan) and the figment of her imagination becomes real and romantic, while his true identity is never revealed. Adding to his appeal, her mystery front man is a loyal fan of Hollywood with a proclivity for analyzing cases via scenes from silver-screen classics.
