In this series, Robson Green explores the extraordinary lives and homes of the people who live of Britain’s coastline – from families swapping their city homes for a new life by the sea to those who have lived on the coast for generations.
In the first episode of the series, Robson explored the Isle of Skye, in Scotland. He met the people who make a living on the remote island and joined in with their day to day lives. During his trip around Skye, he helped a family move their sheep by boat and joined a father and son scallop diving team. He also visited the island of Soay, which has a population of just three residents.
In this second programme, airing on Tuesday 19 September at 8.00pm, Robson travels to the island of Anglesey, off the north coast of Wales. He meets a family who live in an ancient fisherman’s cottage in the Menai straights, which they have lovingly restored. Robson also meets a woman who has left her stressful life in the city to set up a paddle boarding company on the island, and a couple who have spent 12 years renovating their dream cliff top home, which has spectacular views over the Irish Sea.
Robson Green’s Coastal Lives Episode 2 airs Tuesday 12 September 2017 at 8.00pm on ITV.
