Coastal Lives, following Robson Green as he explores the extraordinary lives and homes of the people who live along the British coast, concludes with the sixth and final episode. From families swapping their city homes for a new life by the sea to those who have lived on the coast for generations, Robson gets an insight into the everyday lives of people who make their home on Britain’s coastline.
In previous episodes, Robson visited the stunning coastline around the Isle of Skye, in Scotland, Anglesey, off the north coast of Wales, the Cornish coast and Pembrokeshire. Last week, he travelled to England’s east coast, where he delved further into the community spirit that makes life by the sea so fulfilling.
This week, on his final journey, Robson visits the coastline of North Yorkshire. He meets a family who plan to build their dream coastal home, complete with a vineyard overlooking the sea. He also explores an ancient pub in Scarborough that was once home to smugglers, and joins in with a troupe of sea shanty singers in Whitby.
Robson Green’s Coastal Lives Episode 6 (of 6) airs on Tuesday 17 October 2017 from 8.00pm on ITV.
